Valerie Ann Larson Haynes studied political science at the University of Connecticut and began her career as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, then as a professional staff member of the U.S. House of Representatives Armed Services Committee. She later became an independent writer, editor, and publisher in the sciences and arts.
Haynes is the author of the modern fable, Doctor Goldbunny, the story of the animal who becomes the Doctor of the Earth.
Haynes also has has a lifelong interest in organizing people to manifest their visions, and has been active in numerous groups to help people publish, perform, and display their works.
In her nonfiction book, Creative Provinces: A New World of Enchanting Communities, Haynes has combined her political and creative-organization ideas to form a powerful structure in which everyone can manifest their community visions.
Haynes prefers to study many different fields, both very closely, and by stepping back to see much bigger pictures, in order to appreciate all the living beings involved at all levels, with love and sensitivity. She believes the ultimate goal of true leadership must be to guide people to manifest their own most wonderful visions to separately and together create and live the lives of their dreams.
